We had her birthday party on Saturday at Grandma and Grandpa Stinson's house. The theme was butterflies and poms. Several girls in my class helped me make 18 giant, pink and green poms which we strung all over the house! Butterflies were hung on the windows and adorned the cupcakes and Ella's cake. I made cakepops, which I must say, I have now become obsessed with.
There were about 35 guests, 10 being young children and babies. Lots of little tikes for Ella the celebrate her big day with. Ella had a great time overall, but I must say, was not a fan of cake! I had visions of her digging into it and smearing it all over herself, and then, getting sick from eating too much sugar. The scene was quite the opposite; she gently touched the fondant icing, making a small imprint with her palm. We finally got her dig into it a bit, but still, she expressed no interest in eating it. At one point I took a small piece and tried to get her to taste it. Her expression upon tasting it was one of disgust! I guess I should be happy she dislikes sugar. We will see if lasts!
Again, I am still having problems with the new computer John has placed in our office. My pics are all messed up and it has made it quite difficult to update and maintain the blog. If it isn't straightened out soon I am getting a Mac!
