Los Gatos Racquet and Swim Club

San Jose can have some hot days in the summer, so we finally decided it was time to join The Los Gatos Racquet and Swim Club down the street.  It is impossible to get to the beach int he summer; everyone is heading there via the hwy. 17.  The kids love it and so do we!  Ella has become quite the self-taught swimmer, of course we work with her, but she has developed leaps and bounds compared to when she was taking swim classes for 30 minutes a week.  She can now jump of the diving board and swim to the wall all by herself!  Grady is getting more comfortable in the water each day.   He has two favorite things that he likes to do at the pool;  belly flop over and over again in the kiddie pool, and sit on the first step of the hot tub while observing all the older kids.  He also likes to talk about the diving board, he calls it the jumping board, but it is all talk.   Once you put him near it he screams "No, no no!" almost with as much dislike as if you put a piece of fruit, any fruit, on his plate.
