Ella loves her doggies Mac and Bailey. On a daily basis, she gives them big hugs, has conversations with them, and lays down on their dog beds to snuggle against them. They love her too, and show their affection by giving her big licks. Even Bailey, who was once a bit nervous and liked to keep her distance, will now openly welcome snuggle time with Ella.
She loves other animals too, especially cats. She will never be able to have one since John is so allergic, but when we see them and Grandma and Grandpa's house, and friends' houses, she is intrigued by them. She loves to pet them gently just like her books tell her to.
