First Swim Class

Ella had her first swim class yesterday at the Almaden Valley Athletic Club.  She really enjoyed herself as did I!  My friends Amorette and Suzanne, along with their daughters Chelsea and Sirena, are also taking the class with us.  We practiced going underwater (I only made it to Ella's nose), but will try to go deeper at the next class.  Floating on the back, with support, was also practiced, which Ella seemed to like at first, but then got a bit uncomfortable with it.   There are 6 babies in the class so it is a great social opportunity for her as well.   When it was time to get out of the water,  I had one unhappy camper on my hands.  Ella cried for a good 5 minutes as soon as I took her out. 

Ella's has been a huge water fan ever since her first encounters with it,  specifically in the bathtub.  She also takes every opportunity she gets to quickly make her way to the dog's water bowels to splash hads around.  We try to prevent it, but she is so quick, and sometimes beats us to the bowels.   I can't wait until she is old enough to venture into the ocean with daddy to learn how to surf!
