Swinging with Grandpa

Ella absolutely loves to go swinging with Grandpa!  If the swing is in sight, she will point and make sounds indicating that she would like to take a swing.  Yesterday, she pointed at her swing set outside, then pointed at Grandpa.  They are swing partners!

She is really so good at making connections these days, and also identifying cause and effect relationships. Besides associating Grandpa with the swing, she also realizes that the light switch turns on the light.  Every night at dinner, she looks up a the light and then points at the light switch.  She loves watching it turn on and off, and in fact, got a bit pouty last night when I told her we were done turning the light on and off.  She is so fascinated and amused by the world around her!
