Ella is absolutely obsessed with The Foot Book, by Dr Seus! Now that she is an expert crawler, it is rare that she will contently sit in our laps for extended periods of time. However, if The Foot Book is involved, it's a whole other story! She watches with extreme fascination as each page is turned. She smiles and reaches for the main character. The main character is not on every page, but every time we see him on a page, she flips to the cover as if she recognizes him. I believe she is connecting that the same character on the cover is also in the book.
When we get to the last page, she flips it back to the beginning so it can be read again and again and again. It is the only book she will sit still for!
